Taking care of puppies is a full time responsibility! In the beginning, the mother dog will be the primary care giver, but it is essential that she is properly cared for so she can focus on her new puppies. Once the puppies are weaned from their mother, they will be able to leave the litter and begin a new life in a new home. Puppies should be loved and accepted before all else, but it doesn't hurt to learn a few tips for taking care of puppies before bringing one home.
